Colour Photo Challenge

As many of you that know me know.... I dabble a bit with photography.

Im just a beginner, well Ive being playing about for a year now and wanted to start a project that was worth while.

Im using a Canon EOS 500D Digital SLR Camera (incl. EF-S 18-55 mm IS Lens Kit)

And also a Tamron 70-200mm Lens.

Some tek info for the geeks :)

15.1 megapixel CMOS sensor

  • Full HD 1080p movie recording with HDMI output for connection to HDTV

  • ISO range up to 12800

  • 3.4 frames per second continuous shooting mode

Ive been very happy with the camera & have been doing everything from family snaps to Landscapes but i still have loads to learn & do.

The current project is going to be a 52 Week project & Im looking for ideas of what to do.

Every week will be dominated by the challenge for that week like this week being COLOUR Next week will be mono (Black & White)

Ive looked online & have found other people doing the same thing but wanted to have a go.

"This week I have mostly been" shooting COLOUR

Trying to find something that is a break form the norm is quite hard.

Well here is what I found...

Roll on next week to see what inspires me

Feel free to send in a challenge for the week & I'll have a go!

Taste Of India Review

One of the many things I longed for when I moved here to Ireland was a Chicken Tika Balti.

So you can imagine what I was like when The Taste Of India came to Carndonagh!

Being from Birmimgham, UK (Balti Capital Of The World) I know a good balti when I eat it :)

So all excited I ordered the following:

Chicken Tika Starter With a pot of mint dip.

Mild Chicken Tika Balti with Naan Bread.

If you like it hot go for it. Now I like a mild balti because I like to taste whats in the balti and not just have my balls burnt off!

All the food came to the door piping hot and was soooooo good!

Going in to collect the food is also a must so you can see how clean the kitchen area is & watch you food being made...

TASTE OF INDIA in Carndonagh 4 STARS

Cars & Mobile Phones Don't Mix!

With more & more people needing to be contactable these days the use of mobile phone are more common than ever.

Every morning I take my 10 year old son to school - Its exactly 1 mile to his school in Carndonagh and takes about 5 mins to drive, I know I should walk that distance but thats another story.

You see the same people every day with their mobie phones in hand while driving. I have even seen them pass a Garda car while still on the phone!

These are the people who will never get caught but the likes of me will do it once and that will be the time we get a ticket.

Please people STOP using your phones when your driving or get a HANDS FREE KIT - Tesco sell them from about £16 so there is no excuse!

Yay were Online!

Hi,
